Day at the Zoo

Little man has been begging to go Zoo and see the animals {he actually lists them off: the giraffe's, big monkeys, elephants}. We had our first glimpse of spring here in Dallas, and I knew exactly where we needed to go!

Thanks to the In-laws, we have great Zoo passes, so this means a free day of fun for us!

We were greeted by this beautiful sun peeking through the bamboo.

The greeter that took our passes gave little man a map that he used to guide us everywhere! He would say, "lets see the giraffe's... it is...... this way!" So stinkin' cute!

First stop was, of course, little mans favorite- Gorillas {or BIG monkeys as he calls them}

Then we rode the "train" or monorail that goes over the whole park!

He is so into animals right now, and would just sit and watch them

He is equally interested in the statue animals..lol.

We usually ride the horse, but we had to make do with this one since the horse rides were closed.

Little man was super silly today! He did this all by himself {a photo obsessed mama's dream}!!

Last stop: Carosel rides! His face says it all!

Moving...

Well we are officially moved in to our new house. We have all the boxes unpacked and most of the decorating done!! We still do not know what to do with space we have { 2 1/2 times bigger than our old apartment}, but we are adjusting nicely! Moving was especially difficult being 6.5m pregnant and having a 2.5 year old to take care of as well, but we survived.

It did take its toll on little man though!

He fell asleep while eating dinner...

... but adjusted nicely his first night in his BIG BOY bed!

He also showed a bit of delirium while coving up his mural in the old apartment.

So long apartment! You where the shelter we brought our first born home from the hospital to and where we created our little one on the way. Those walls saw a lot of milestones, and you served us well!

Few things for Doodle Bug

Just wanted to share some of my favorite little things we have received for Doodle Bug so far!!

Love me some Zutano! Aren't these outfits adorable!!!

Me-In-Mind shoes are so cute and fashionable! The have that "tough" look I love!

Green Peek-A-Boo Closet Dividers from babiesrus! I love the look of his closet with the help of these great organizational tools!

My Skip Hop Duo Deluxe Diaper bag that I have already started to fill! I am so excited to have finally found a diaper bag that I love!

The bedding, in case you missed that post a while back, is Trend Lab "Giggles." I have it up in the nursery {yes, photos will come} and it is so stinkin' cute!

Look at the big/little brother shirts I have for the boys to wear!!! Carters had these and I almost died!!!

Finally, my slings! I am so so so excited to babywear from the get-go with baby Q! I didn't start wearing little man until he was 10m and I welcome the sanity that these will provide! I will post photos of my entire stash later on!

First up, my new mojito Peanut Shell! I love the look of it!!

Then, I got an espresso HotSling! It has that sateen finish and is so soft and stretchy!

My favorite new sling is my Zolowear Chai Ring Sling. Is it not the most beautiful ring sling you have ever laid eyes on??

I am working on his take home outfit, but just you wait! It is to-die-for!!
I will post photos soon!!

28 Weeks Pregnant!

I am officially in my 3rd trimester and could not be more happy! Our sweet boy moves like a wild animal inside of me what seems to be constantly. He is measuring about 2 1/4 lbs and about 15in long! We cannot wait to see his sweet face and I am ready to get my body back. I wake up every morning and feel like I was in a huge car accident the night before. I am super tired all day and am still throwing up like I am in my first trimester. I now can empathize with woman that were sick their whole pregnancy.
Little man is starting to understand, and is so sweet about the baby. He will walk up and wrap his arms around my belly and give it a big kiss! It melts my heart!
I spent the other day getting the nursery ready and washing/hanging all of little mans baby clothes in the baby's closet. I think little man had more fun with this than I did. He would pick up each outfit and say "little man's baby clothes!!" It was so fun!
I am still in a very healthy weight gain range- about 17lbs so far. My belly button is starting to pop out, as you can probably tell from the photo, and little man calls it a "knot" on my tummy!

I have started nesting, which I am sure has a lot to do with the move into our new house. I will post photos of the nursery soon!
