Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Gimp your photos!

Mommy Confession:
I am addicted to photography and editing photos. I just have a point and shoot camera, but I am AMAZED at how you can turn a point and shoot photo into a masterpiece! I am sort of spoiled having an art teacher for a husband and because the nature of his job, he was given Photoshop CS4 from his school. He passed it along to me, as he doesn't teach photography, but the program overwhelms me.

I have, however, fallen in love with GIMP. It is so much like Photoshop and get this- IT IS FREE!! There are also a ton of video tutorials on youtube.

Here is a photo I took of one of my friends little girls at a local splash park.

The colors are more intense, her eyes pop and I took her mama's arm and a random lady out of the photo! now the photo is a great one worthy of a frame!

For his birthday he got this sweet little cart from our dear friends the 'S' Family! He wanted to take it with us to our weekly visit to the local New Flower. He even held on to it in the car with excitement!! He acted so big and thought he was really something following behind daddy shopping! Little man even started picking out his own produce and stocked his little cart! Did you see the apple that couldn't be resisted?? LOL!

Wordless (or Wordful) Wednesday -Bear Bathing

This morning, I woke up to my sweet little man calling for me. I went in his room, gave him a hug and was rushed by the wonderful smell of urine. I look down to see that daddy put the wrong cloth diaper on him in the middle of the night and now he was soaked from head to toe! I grabbed him and went straight to the bath. Because he had just woken up, he had his teddy bear "Baxter" tucked securely under his arm. As i water filled up and the bubbles appeared i took off his wet clothes and diaper and sat his bear on our decorative basket of towels about a foot away from the tub. After getting him him the tub, i popped 2 steps across the hall to make me some coffee. I heard little man singing in a sweet voice and stuck my head around to see his cute self. What i found was him bathing Baxter and singing all the while. I guess he felt his bear needed a bath too!

Wordless Wednesday~ Favorite Day

One of my favorite days is the day after grocery shopping! The fridge and pantry are stocked and lunch is always amazing! Shopping at places like Sprouts and New Flower make it even better!

My husband was panting a picture for my mom's kitchen and little man wanted to help (LOL!) so we set up his easel right next to daddy's! He kept looking at Daddy's painting and looking back at his like they were doing the same thing. He wants to be just like daddy when he grows up 8o)
