*~* BaBy ShOwEr *~*

I have to start out by saying that I have the best friends and family in the entire world. I do! I was thrown the most amazing baby shower and had the most loving ladies attend. The theme was Organic/earthy/brown and green- which was too perfect! I couldn't have pictured it any more perfect if I would have tried!

In lieu of games, the guests brought onesies for an unknown craft. There was a table filled with fabric, glue and tread to cut out fun appliques and make doodlebug clothes! How fun! They are all so special and I can't wait for him to wear them!

GIFT TIME!
To say that I was overwhelmed with love is an understatement. I truly have the best friends in the world. Doodlebug was gifted with the most thoughtful gifts, both handmade and bought! Once we get his room completely finished, I will highlight some of the goodies that tugged on my heart strings!

This hand painted "Q" has a super special story. The night before the shower, my husband, SIL and I were painting the boys canvases for their rooms. We knew we would have a house full of guests and I wanted the boys rooms to be finished. I had originally picked out this "Q" to go on one of the canvases for doodlebugs room, but then found a cuter one at another store. When little man saw it sitting on the table, he said "I paint the letter Q!" I was so proud of his letter recognition and he had been bugging us to paint for hours, so I said ok! He then told me he wanted to paint a letter "Q" for a present for the baby. {who can say no to that??} I got the colors of the baby's room on a pallet for him and away he painted. He then leaned back, sat his brush down, and said "perfect!" LOL!! He helped me wrap it up for the shower and was so proud of his gift- and I was so proud of his willingness to give! {yes I cried like a baby!!}

for the birds

Getting settled in our new home inspired us to have a home for our outdoor friends! Little man loves the birds, so we bought a feeder for them! It has already had to be refilled 2 times!

Painting with a Twist

My dear sweet husband took me on a surprise date to a place called Painting with a Twist. A fun studio that walks you through the steps of creating a particular painting while enjoying wine and Hors d'oeuvres. It was a great surprise and we had so much fun!

Look at our finished products!! It was really neat to look around the room and see so many variations of the same art! Afterwards, we had a yummy dinner at Campisi's! yum!

~>~Dino World~<~

DINO WORLD

{before I start, I want to apologize for the following photos. My Nikon died and we had to use a Kodak disposable camera- Ha, Ha!}

We started by walking through the 1.5hr walk of over 100 life size dinosaurs staged in their natural habitat. It was so fun to learn about all the different dinos and see little man's excitement as he yelled "Look at THIS one!!!!"

At this point, we stopped to feed the HUGE coy fish in the pond.

After our walk, we went into the museum. They had so many fossils and several dino skeletons.

Lastly, we participated in a fossil dig! Little man got a sand sifter and a bowl to collect his goodies in. We could dig for 15mins and collect as many as we wanted, but had to pick the 3 best to take home. We found 3 large dino teeth that we brought home with us!

Little man showing off his findings!

I would highly recommend this for small kiddos! You can bring a picnic and they have a huge playground too! I wish we lived closer, but we plan on taking another trip this summer! Little man still asks if we can go to the Dino Zoo!

Park Playing Cousins

My mom had to have a pretty major surgery at the very beginning of Spring break. It was so nice to be able to be by her side and also see tons of family.

We managed to sneak the kiddos to the park and get them out of the house for a bit on a super pretty day!

Little man and Sweet A play so well together!

Birthday party

My dear friend D and I have been friends since 2nd grade. It is so nice to still be in touch and have our kiddos attend each other's birthday parties! Her sweet little girl just turned 2!

Little man enjoyed the Sand & Water table with the birthday girl {although, i think he was breaking the rules and mixing the 2...LOL}.

He also loved the full size trampoline!

Then we went inside for cake and presents. Her is the birthday girl opening her present from us!

a fun crayon roll for traveling

and a cute kimono top I made!

After all the presents were opened, all the kiddos gathered around and played with her new doll house {boys were more excited than girls i think}!

D & I here both expecting our second! I am 30wks and she is 24wks! how fun is that??
