Farm Fairytale

Walking through feet and feet of mud {and "other" mud} in 4in heels at the Farm where the Stone Wedding took place didn't take away from the beauty that surrounded this very dear couple. Plan B's and C's caused from the week of rain didn't deter from the love that filled the air that night.

Show us your place~ Kitchen & Dining room

Kelly over at Kelly's Korner does a little segment each Friday to show where you live! I have hopped on the train a little late and probably wont stick to her schedule, but i will each Friday show you a different room in my house! We are in the process of house hunting, so we will be leaving our great little apartment of 3yrs soon! This is a great way for me to remember the place we brought our beautiful little man home to!

This week I will show you our small kitchen and dining room! Complete with appliances that look like they are from the 70's {and not in a good way} and everything opposite from what I would have in a kitchen if it was up to me, the kitchen is sure to disappoint. {lol} The dining room is actually nice and roomy and we find ourselves spending quite a bit of time in here!

Kitchen:

I love our fruit stand! {see my rooster? EVERY kitchen needs at least one rooster!}

This is a vintage record player/radio and works! $15 at a thrift store= great find!!

This painting I found at Goodwill for $18!

This armoir holds all of our office goods!



Our table pulls out and seats 8! Great space-saver!

I'M PREGNANT!

SO.... What is your advice for adding a second baby to the mix?

Wordful Wednesday- 4wks Pregnant

The first month of pregnancy was a rough one. I am so blessed to have you growing inside of me but if you could just keep the dizziness and overwhelming feelings of nausea to a minimum I would be super excited! I am tired all the time, which really upsets your super active 2.5yr old brother that doesn't quite understand what is going on yet. I know it is super early and I will probably regret typing this, but I really think you are a girl. I just feel super different this time around. {if you are a boy, please forgive me} I don't think I have gained any weight yet, but my pants make my tummy hurt so we are going to try to digg out the maternity clothes tomorrow. Your big brother kisses my belly every morning and insists you are the baby "with cars." We have explained to him that it might be a Barbie car, but I am sure we can work something out! LOL!

I already love you more than you will ever know!!!!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Gimp your photos!

Mommy Confession:
I am addicted to photography and editing photos. I just have a point and shoot camera, but I am AMAZED at how you can turn a point and shoot photo into a masterpiece! I am sort of spoiled having an art teacher for a husband and because the nature of his job, he was given Photoshop CS4 from his school. He passed it along to me, as he doesn't teach photography, but the program overwhelms me.

I have, however, fallen in love with GIMP. It is so much like Photoshop and get this- IT IS FREE!! There are also a ton of video tutorials on youtube.

Here is a photo I took of one of my friends little girls at a local splash park.

The colors are more intense, her eyes pop and I took her mama's arm and a random lady out of the photo! now the photo is a great one worthy of a frame!

Big Boy Bed!

What a milestone, huh? I cannot believe my little man is actually sleeping in a toddler bed!!!

We had hoped to keep him in a toddler bed until he was 3, but of course he had other plans. He started climbing out of the crib around 14 months, but it was as if he had forgot completely how to do it. It wasnt until a few months back that he did it consistantly leaving us no choice but to take the crib of my sweet little baby and convert it in to a big boy toddler bed!

I had to sneak in to take a peek in the middle of the night to see my baby sleeping in is big boy toddler bed.

He looked so sweet and peacful- AND BIG!
{then I ran off to cry BIG tears...}
