The face says it all :)! I hope his enthusiasm grows as baby's arrival approaches. You should use that picture for the announcements. It's too funny. Congratulations on #2!
☼¨`*•.♥CONGRATULATIONS♥.•*¨`☼ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! The second pictures is HILARIOUS and I agree with Milk and Honey Mommy you should use that picture for the announcements! He is like "MOM what in the world am I holding?" too darn CUTE!!!! Have a Lovely♥WW!
Woooo WHoooot Congratulations Enjoy #1 Twice as much before #2 arrives. He'll need lots of extra attention. PLEASE ask for HELP when you need it, AND remember you don't need to do it all yourself. Remember the first yr is the hardest or the first 2 yrs if you have 2 that are close together. I have a 1 yr old and a 3 yr and an 8 yr old too. ENJOY
Yay!!! So exciting...advice I would give you...ummm, how old is number one? Maile was 19 months old when Laina was born and I hate myself for expecting her to act older than she was. Maile was still a baby and yet because I had a LITTLE baby, I was treating Maile like a big girl. I wish I could go back and coddle her a little more...probably more for my mother's guilt than anything!
You'll do great though...my two girls are best friends now!!
Congratulations and great picture. Love the expression on his face. I only have one son, so I have no advice on adding an extra child. Happy WW and take care.
Yay! I have lots of advice...I will give it to you later! Having them only 1 year apart, I had to think of a lot of ways to be creative to keep my sanity!
My advice is to spend as much time with him as you can now; include him in all of the baby preparations; when you get baby stuff allow him to check it out and explore it; when the time gets close talk to him about what's going to happen (mommy going to the hospital, him coming to visit, mommy coming home with baby, etc). You may also want to get him used to the idea of having to share his room and that the crib will be for the baby and he gets a "big boy" bed. That transition is the hardest and the early he becomes used to the idea the easier it will be to keep him from back stepping once the baby arrives.
CONGRATS! IMO, there's really no secret to adding another baby - you just do it like you did originally, just taking extra time to never forget the one who was first.
Congrads on your #2. I'm really envious.. I am hoping to add on a #3 to my brood if possible. I suggest getting picture books which show stages of the baby's growth so that your #1 is able to understand where babies come from and slowly accept his new sibling.
Congrats! It's a little more hectic, but twice the amount of love and fun!! We're thinking of adding one more to our brood, baby #3 and I'm nervous about that :)
CONGRATS! Advice is to make sure to give #1 lots of solo time and also make sure to incorporate him into the pregnancy - take him to ultrasounds, when you buy things let him help pick. Help him to make a welcome home sign for the baby. Let him help pick a name (within reason).
Personally, I found the second to be the easiest. Not alot of difference btn one and two children (IMO).
Hmmm, just remember that it was hard getting yourself and one other ready. I didnt think it was going to be a big deal but I figured out quickly that I needed to give myself at least an extra hour to be somewhere on time!!!!!
Hey...I entered a comment at mama in flip flops (or something) and saw your username...since my maiden name is Mcclure, I just thought I'd come take a peek. Life with two is almost as easy as life with one...I mean, you've already had some practice, now it's time to put what you learned and want to differently to use. Good luck. :)
Oh, and my Mcclure roots are from Jonesville, LA area.
I beleive I responded to you by email but want to make sure I have covered my bases. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on our Baby Grand and the boxers. They are so cute. Blessings as you train up your flock in the way they should go. Blessigs. jean
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you all! I don't have any advice on this matter, as the hubs and I are always back and forth on when we should start trying again, but I know one thing: SLEEP. ;-)
Congrats, and all our best from over here in Canada! We just had #2 this summer, and my little guy is 3. We are still adjusting, but things are much easier with the baby this time around...it is just managing the preschooler that I'm still learning about... Blessings!
Wow! Congrats! When I had #2 (and #3 and #4) I was freaked out to go shopping alone. I finally did it and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined. I say whatever comes up, just jump in! Good luck!!
I am a mother to my 2 crazy boys and a wife to the most amazing husband. I live a life defined by Christ and pray that I am a blessing to all those around me. I am a stay at home mama and the owner of the mama and baby boutique www.2by2boutique.com! I love to create and enjoy finding new outlets for that creativity. That is- create when my little ones allow it!
