Vintage garden tea party baby shower

What a blessing: To shower a wonderful friend full of gifts to celebrate the soon arrival of her sweet baby girl Violet!

Here is the sweet mama to be with her mama and step-mother in law!
Isnt she glowing?!?!?

We went with a vintagy, garden tea party theme that suited mama and baby violet perfect!
a tea party has to have tea! My vintage tea pot was the perfect accessory!

For drinks we made berry water, cucumber water and pink lemonade
mason jars with fabric strips were used as glasses= perfect touch!!

For food, we go all out!
We did a pot-luck style lunch, and before long this table was packed full of all of your favorite shower food!

Bri is the banner maker of the group, and this one is just too cute!

For decor we scattered vases of fresh flowers and paper pinwheels

paper pompoms hung from the ceiling

The gift table had an awesome vintage birdcage for the cards and a fabric clothes line bunting that i made out of her nursery fabrics!

here are some gift opening shots!
Kristin makes these special frames with her hand done calligraphy. She uses verses that the parents have selected for their children. So sweet!!

maria made her little toys that spell out violet!

Michelle is an amazing artist and had made these for violets nursery!

Jo made her some baby legs and cute onsies!

Her grandmother gave her a potted violet and a very old and sentimental pot! it was so sweet it made me cry!!

I made her a reversible boppy cover
A crib skirt
...and a pinwheel quilt that wasnt quite finished
but here it is finished!

for party favors, kristin put together sweet bags of seeds from her garden! Such a sweet and personal touch!

For a fun activity in lieu of games, we set up a table to make baby violet some hair accessories! You had to practically pull us away from this- it was so much fun!!

and of course, jo and i had to try them on our sweet boys! HA!

It was a wonderful shower!!!
